ESDC Youth Portal
This project is a UI/UX redesign of the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) Youth Portal, created during the 2019 ESDC Design Jam. The original design felt outdated and dull, so the resulting redesign features a more current and clean look that is visually aligned with the existing Government of Canada website; this creates a more accessible and reliable looking space for youth.

Design Process
1. RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
Designers were provided a brief with the goals and concerns of the current design. I kept these considerations in mind as I reviewed the design myself and noted down any further issues I found in its design and user experience.
2. WIREFRAME
Considering the issues of the original design, I looked for existing sites that served a similar purpose as inspiration for how to solve them. With those ideas, I developed a wireframe to explore how I could redesign the layout.
3. DESIGN EXPLORATION
After deciding on a general layout, I needed to start designing the look of each element. With each section, I attempted a variety of options, from style and colour, to the layout and spacing. All of them together created the final design.
